More than 40,000 jobs were created in the textiles sector in the Middle East and Africa in the first six months of 2018.

The textiles sector created more jobs in the Middle East and Africa in H1, 2018, than any other, adding 40,769 jobs in the first sixth months of the year.

The metals sector was second, adding 23,979 jobs, with real estate creating 19,915.

The communications and automotive OEM sectors were neck and neck, adding 16,298 and 16,102 jobs respectively in the region.
